Born in Fekamara village under Jalalpur union in Katiadi upazila of Kishoreganj, Bachchu Mia came from a modest background. Like many Bangladeshi migrant workers, he moved to Saudi Arabia in search of better economic opportunities to support his family. Over the past five years, he worked tirelessly abroad and regularly supported his household in Bangladesh. He was known locally as a responsible and devoted family man. As the only earning member, his income was crucial for the survival, education, and medical care of his children, including one with special needs. His untimely death has not only created emotional devastation but also placed his family in severe financial uncertainty.

Bachchu Mia’s widow, Joshana Akhter, expressed deep distress about the future of their children, asking what would happen to them now without their father’s support.
