According to police, Kristine Schneider was driving a 1991 Pontiac Grand Am north on Highway 11 at around 9 p.m. when she tried to turn left onto Husker Highway and collided with a patrol car driven by deputy Lynn Gardient. Schneider died at a hospital. Gardient was treated and released.
