Cause of Death: 17-year-old Turkish child from Karaj, killed by direct shooting by government suppression forces during protests on Thursday evening

Cause of Death: Shot by suppressive forces in Haft Howz Narmak area of Tehran. He was a young athlete and parkour champion who also worked in theater. In one of his Instagram posts he had written: ‘hoping for a day when we can fly with our skates’

Cause of Death: Shot with four war bullets during protests – one to the heart, one to the shoulder, one to the shin, one to the wrist. Married father of two daughters aged 1 and 7 years old.

Cause of Death: Died on January 8, 2026 (18 Dey 1404) in Fooladshahr, Isfahan

Cause of Death: Shot and killed by Islamic Republic security forces during popular uprising. Was trapped in an alley with other protesters, surrounded from both sides by government forces who opened fire. A bullet struck his heart and lungs, and he lay on the ground for about half an hour before losing his life. Was an 18-year-old student set to begin studies in mechanical engineering, from a financially well-off family. His presence at protests was driven by awareness and solidarity rather than economic pressure. Two of his uncles were killed in the Iran-Iraq war, one was a well-known commander. The Golgoon family is among well-known families of the city, and a boulevard in Shahsavar is named ‘Golgoon Martyrs’.

Cause of Death: Shot directly in the head with a war bullet on Ferdows East Boulevard between Ali Hosseini and Erik streets. He was a 26-year-old resident of Thailand, born in Jannat Abad neighborhood of Tehran. He had only been in Iran for two days from Thailand to visit friends and family. As a supporter of Prince Reza Pahlavi, he participated in the protests in response to calls made for building a better future and life for the people. His family found his body after three days of searching, and authorities demanded 2 billion tomans (compared to the usual 700 million tomans) for the release of his body due to his family’s good financial situation.

Cause of Death: Basketball player and student at Sharif University of Technology, shot and killed by direct fire from Islamic Republic security forces while out on the street during nationwide uprising. He was a member of the Farzan Shemiran 3×3 basketball team which won the Tehran championship earlier that year, and was named Best Player of the Tehran Adult League in the same year.

Cause of Death: Died on 17 Dey 1404 in Rey city

Cause of Death: 17-year-old from Salas Babajani, player for Saipa youth football team, shot with war bullet by security forces during popular protests in Tehran. According to his father Adel Moradi in video released by government media when receiving his son’s body, he was shot from close range from behind.

Cause of Death: Shot on Piroozi Street. After being shot, he made it to an alley and gave his phone to someone, asking them to call the last person on his contact list. He died before his family could reach Piroozi Street. Due to security conditions and lack of ambulances around Piroozi Street, Ahmad Abbasi’s mother held her son’s body in the alley from night until morning to prevent security forces from taking it. His body was eventually transferred to Kahrizak Legal Medicine facility where plainclothes forces kidnapped the body. Authorities are demanding one billion tomans as ‘bullet fee’ to return the body to the family.
