Reports indicate that missiles struck the Shajareh Tayyebeh Primary School during morning classes. Witnesses also described multiple follow-up strikes (“double-tap” or triple strikes) hitting the same location after the initial explosion, which increased the number of casualties among students and staff.

Biography

Fatemeh Shahdadi was a young student who attended Shajareh Tayyebeh Primary School in Minab, Hormozgan Province, Iran. She was among the children present at the school on the morning of 28 February 2026 when missiles struck the building during ongoing military operations in the region. The attack destroyed much of the school and caused the deaths of many students and staff. Fatemeh Shahdadi was one of the victims identified among those killed in the tragedy.

Fatemeh Shahdadi was a primary school student from the southern Iranian city of Minab in Hormozgan Province. Like many children in the community, she attended Shajareh Tayyebeh Primary School, where students gathered daily for lessons and school activities.

On the morning of 28 February 2026, while classes were underway, missiles struck the school during a series of air attacks in the area. The explosions caused severe destruction to the building, collapsing walls and sections of the roof and trapping many children inside. Witness accounts and investigations reported that multiple strikes hit the school compound, including a second strike after the initial blast.

The incident became one of the deadliest attacks affecting children during the conflict, with the majority of victims being schoolgirls between the ages of seven and twelve. Fatemeh Shahdadi was among those killed in the destruction of the school.
