Deadly force
Police tried to stop a car in New Britain. Police said the people inside the car were suspected of being involved in a series of violent carjackings in New Britain and in surrounding towns over the past two weeks. A police chase ended with gunfire, as the car drove in the general direction of police. Three people inside the car shot by police; one died. No officers were injured, but that they were taken to the hospital as a precaution. Police alleged vehicular homicide.
