Zachary Phillips was riding a motorcycle at 12:49 a.m. when he was stopped by a state trooper. According to reports, Phillips acknowledged the officer and then fled. After a brief pursuit, the motorcycle failed to negotiate a curve and crashed. Phillips was pronounced dead at the scene.
