
Younis Ghassan Tayeh was a 21-year-old Palestinian from the al-Far’a refugee camp, located south of Tubas in the northeastern West Bank. He lived under the challenging conditions faced by many Palestinians in occupied territories. His life was cut short during a violent confrontation with Israeli soldiers in September 2022.
Younis lived in the al-Far’a refugee camp, a densely populated Palestinian community near Tubas. Details about his family and personal life remain limited. Following his death, the local Palestinian community declared a general strike in the Tubas governorate to mourn him and express their resistance against Israeli military actions. His killing occurred amid a series of Israeli military operations and heightened tensions across the West Bank during early September 2022.

Younis was shot directly in the heart by Israeli soldiers during an incursion into the al-Far’a refugee camp. Despite the efforts of Palestinian medics who rushed him to a hospital in Tubas, he succumbed to his injuries.
