Yasser Mamdouh El-Fady, a Palestinian journalist for Kan’an News Agency, was killed on February 11, 2024, while reporting from outside Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, southern Gaza. He was fatally shot by an Israeli sniper while attempting to retrieve the body of a civilian who had been killed near the hospital entrance.
