Jerry Dodd was driving a stolen truck and fleeing police when an Arkansas State Police trooper tried to end the chase with "stop sticks." Dodd avoided the sticks, but stopped when he crashed into another truck driven by Robert Wagster, killing Wagster's passenger, William Thrasher. Dodd was charged with manslaughter.
