Officers Nick Brubaker and Daniel Henderson were dispatched to a home after William Sendelbach allegedly shot at an occupied garbage truck. Sendelbach reportedly fired shotgun rounds at arriving officers, striking Brubaker in the leg. Brubaker and Henderson shot and killed Sendelbach. Later it was learned Sendelbach had stabbed his 10-year-old son, who died two days later.
