William D. Kent was eastbound on County Road 400 South about 2 a.m. in a 2013 Chevrolet pickup when Kosciusko deputies spotted him. Police tried to stop him, but he fled and police pursued. The pickup truck ran off the road, striking a pair of trees and killing Kent. The pickup, which was totaled in the crash, was reported stolen in Whitley County.
