An off-duty MPD officer was traveling at a high rate of speed eastbound down Walnut Grove Road when the officer, in a 2019 Dodge Charger, hit a 2000 Pontiac Bonneville which was pulling out of a driveway near Timber Creek Drive. The officer was taken to Regional One Hospital in non-critical condition, police said, but the passengers of the Bonneville, 42-year-old Wallace Morris and 19-year-old Travis Parham, were killed. At the time of impact, Officer Antonio Marshall's car was moving at 99 mph. The speed limit on Walnut Grove is 45 mph.
