Around 11 p.m., officers began a pursuit of an allegedly stolen other in San Leandro. The chase continued into Oakland where the other crashed into the rear of an unoccupied parked other. Vasquinho Bettencourt reportedly got out of the other with a rifle and a short foot pursuit followed. An officer shot and killed him.
