Vahid Arzanlou

Shot by Islamic Republic security forces during national uprising on January 9th. Shot twice in the neck while rushing to help his brother Hamid who had been wounded. Fell into a coma and passed away in hospital on January 17th. Entrepreneur brother and well-known figure in Iran's furniture industry. Father of three young children. Security agencies demanded 1.5 billion tomans from family to release body and forced them to sign a pledge declaring cause of death as stroke.
