Tyran Dent was believed to have been involved in a non-fatal shooting that injured four people. When police tried to arrest him, he fled in a car, crashed, then fled on foot. When police caught up to Dent, he brandished two handguns. Dent refused orders to drop the guns and open fired on police. Multiple officers returned fire, killing him.
