A deputy attempted to stop Tucker Morrison's motorcycle for speeding just before 2 a.m. on IA-149 at the Iowa–Keokuk county line. Morrison reportedly drove away from the deputy, went around a curve and lost control. Morrison was thrown from the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
