Suicide
Police said they responded to a shooting call. When they arrived, they found a 78-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. Around the same time, officers responded to the same block for a house fire. They said the house belonged to Sherrard. Police said the fire appeared to be started either prior to or just after the shooting, and believe Sherrard was the one who started it. Then, officers responded to a residence for an attempted suicide call, where a man was walking around outside with a gun. Officers arrived on the scene, but before they could make contact with the man, he committed suicide. Police identified him as Sherrard.
