Travis was involved in a chase on May 28 with the Rock Springs Police Department and the U.S. Department of Justice Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Sweetwater County Prosecuting Attorney Jason Petri officially closed the case, clearing all law enforcement officers involved after ruling Posselt died of an accidental methamphetamine-related overdose.
