Deadly force

Minneapolis police officers were dispatched to perform a welfare check on Travis Jordan at the request of his girlfriend. When they arrived they could see Jordan through a window, he ignored their knocks at the front door. Jordan talked on the telephone to his girlfriend and then picked up a large kitchen knife. He came out of the front door and approached the officers while brandishing the knife. The officers backed up and ordered Jordan to drop the knife. He kept approaching, and both officers shot and killed Jordan.
