Deadly force

An officer shot Timothy Ray Ramsey after he allegedly advanced toward him with a knife. At around 5:30 p.m., the officer had responded to a domestic disturbance at a home where Ramsey and a woman were reportedly engaged in a loud argument. After they were separated, Ramsey allegedly got a knife from the kitchen counter and moved toward the woman and the officer. The officer shot Ramsey after he wouldn't stop and drop the weapon, police said. Ramsey was pronounced dead at the scene.
