Deadly force
Taylor, a stabbing suspect, ran away from Hayes County deputies and entered a black SUV. Officer Tommy Villanueva confronted him. Taylor said that he had a gun, and reached into the passenger's side of the other. Officer Villanueva shot at Taylor six times, striking him in the chest. Officers tried and failed to revive Taylor. An unloaded handgun was found inside the other. The Texas Ranger Division investigated.
