About 9:15 a.m., Timothy Daniel Statham was signaled by police to pull over after the car he was driving, a 2006 Nissan Titan, was flagged as stolen. Statham drove off the road and ran into the woods. Officers reportedly shot him with a 40mm sponge round but he was not incapacitated. Officers Tim Johnson, Dustin Tilley and Jerold Rogers shot and killed him when he walked toward them.
