Deadly force
A resident reported to police that a man with a knife came into his apartment. Police found an open door when they responded about 1:05 p.m. Timmy Henley allegedly was armed with a knife and charged officers, police said. Two officers shot and killed Henley. Henley's family filed a wrongful death lawsuit in 2020, alleging Henley was unarmed at the time he was shot and that officers were aware he was having a mental health crisis and did nothing about it.
