Deadly force
Thomas Wayne Swinford was believed to be armed with a gun. Police ordered him to drop the gun but said he ignored their commands. Moments later, Swinford allegedly charged toward officers, pointing the gun in their direction. Multiple officers shot and killed him. He had had an Airsoft replica handgun.
