Deadly force

Deputies were called to a home on Foxfire Lane for a well-being check, police said. When deputies arrived at the front door of Thomas Scott Henry's home, Henry picked up a long gun and threatened the deputies. As authorities took cover, Henry started shooting from out his window toward neighbors who had gathered at the end of his driveway. Henry then walked outside and pointed his gun toward a deputy who shot and killed him.
