Around 2 p.m., a Liberty County deputy's license plate reader reportedly picked up a Nissan that registered as stolen from Chatham County. The deputy turned on his lights to stop the other. The driver turned onto the opposite side of the road and was hit head-on. Three people inside the Nissan were killed--two men, 19 and 32, a woman, 40--as was a 43-year-old male passenger in the other car. The 19-year-old was allegedly driving the Nissan.
