Biography

Taha Safari was a 15-year-old student from the village of Palangari in Fars Province, Iran. He lived between his father’s home in Palangari and with his mother in Azna, Lorestan Province, where he stayed during school terms. He was reported to have taken part in the nationwide protests that swept Iran in late 2025 and early 2026

Taha was a schoolboy, described in rights reporting as one of the youngest of the demonstrators killed amid the unrest. Sources close to his family stated his parents were divorced and that Taha split his time between his father’s village and his mother’s home. On December 31, 2025, he was wounded during protests in Azna, Lorestan Province, while participating in demonstrations against state policies and economic conditions. After being shot, he reportedly remained alive for a period of time before later dying of his injuries.
