Deadly force
A man was driving a 2009 Mercedes passenger car when a Donley County Sheriff's deputy tried to initiate a traffic stop, but the driver fled. Upon entering Childress County, the Childress Police Department was able to deploy spikes successfully to disable the other. The man fled on foot. Childress officers and deputies were able to catch him a short time later. When he allegedly pointed a handgun at the officers, they shot and killed him.
