Steven Hooker reportedly barricaded himself in a bathroom at about 1:45 p.m. as members of the Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team searched his apartment during a drug bust. When officers entered the bathroom, Hooker allegedly threatened them with a knife. Officers tasered Hooker, who then began showing signs of an overdose, police said. According to police, Hooker told officers he'd swallowed more than 20 grams of powder cocaine.
