Stephen O'Brien was walking near a car around 12:15 a.m. at a Walmart. Witnesses told police he was allegedly brandishing a gun. Police encountered O'Brien with hands in his pocket. He suddenly jerked his hands out of his pockets, and two deputies and a DPS trooper shot and killed him. He was unarmed.
