Landlord and taxidermist Stanley James Leger, 80, Leger had filed a complaint against destructive tenants, and fired a warning shot into the air with a .22 rifle when they approached him. The ex-tenants called police who ordered Leger to drop the rifle. Leger refused to drop the weapon and police opened fire, killing him.
