Deadly force

A man was wanted for questioning in connection with a drug search warrant conducted earlier that day. The man fled in a other while the detectives pursued. The man stopped the other in a field and fled on foot. Police found the man walking west on Earl Road with a handgun. As police approached, the man ran a short distance before stopping and allegedly shooting at the officers. A gun battle ensued, and the man was fatally shot.
