Deadly force

Officer James Gadd shot and killed Sierra McCouley after Knoxville police responded to multiple calls of a woman outside a home, nude and cutting herself. Another call came in saying the woman had cut someone else. Two officers arrived and found the woman armed with a military-style knife. Officers repeatedly told McCouley to drop the weapon. Instead she raised the knife and charged an officer, who shot and killed her.
