Deadly force
Police received a report of a Ford pickup that had crash around 2:30 a.m. at a CVS. A Wylie officer was in the process of making an unrelated traffic stop at the CVS when a call came in about a report of a other crash into a building. The officer responded to the crash and saw the body of a woman who had been seriously injured lying on the ground near the crash. A man, later identified as Shawn Myers, was also lying on the ground with a rifle. The officer ordered the man to disarm, and then shot and killed him.
