Alaska State Troopers in Fairbanks said they spotted a person with known warrants and attempted a traffic stop. The man, Shawn Buck, took off. Officers with the Fairbanks Police Department responded to assist. The man's car stopped at the Mitchell Expressway on-ramp. Buck drove in the direction of officers, brandished a handgun, and was shot and killed by Chief Eric Jewkes, Sgt. Ron Dupee and Officers Dennis Benn and Tyler Larimer.
