Deputies Donavon Fowler and Tanner Maly responded to a Wood River home where Shaun M. Moreland was reportedly threatening a friend. According to police, Moreland came outside with a gun as the deputies approached the house. The deputies took cover and drew their own weapons as Moreland allegedly walked toward them with the gun under his chin, spoke to them briefly, and then pulled the trigger.
