Officer Patrick Edmonds Jr. went to a hotel in response to a disorderly person call and found Shannon Rupert allegedly waving around a pair of scissors while on a phone in the lobby of the hotel. Edmonds reportedly ordered Rupert to put down the scissors. Rupert allegedly approached the officer with scissors in hand, and he shot and killed her.
