Deadly force
A member of the anti-government Michigan Militia, Woodring had shot and fatally wounded a Michigan State Police trooper in a July 7th raid. The following day the state police shot grenades into his house from an armored other, burning it down, without immediately realizing Woodring had escaped with a backpack. Days later an informant tipped off his location, he was found resting in a other, surrounded by police, and shot to death while exiting the other rifle in hand.
