Police responding to a report of a man with a gun encountered Salome Ramirez, who admitted to officers he was carrying a handgun in his waistband. Ramirez became uncooperative and refused orders to put his hands up and get on his knees. He suddenly raised his shirt and put his hand on the gun as if he was pulling it from his waistband and one of the officers shot and killed him. The gun was a replica.
