At Rest

Pursuit
A trooper stopped a late-model Chrysler sedan shortly after 10:30 a.m. in Lonoke County, but the driver fled, heading east along I-40. Police chased the car until it drove out of sight. Nearly an hour later, the other was spotted traveling east in the westbound lanes of the interstate. A head-on collision involving four vehicles happened about 11:30 a.m. The Chrysler struck a westbound International truck and a GMC Sierra. A fourth other in the vicinity, a Lincoln MKZ, then struck an impact cushion device. The Chrysler's driver, Russell Johnson, was killed.
This record exists so that Russell Johnson, and all who are named in this archive, are never reduced to a number.
