Deadly force
Police looking for a burglary suspect approached Brisbon. The suspect fled on foot. When caught Brisbon struggled with the officer. The suspect reached into his pocket. The officer felt what he believed to be a gun in the suspect's pocket. When he could no longer control Brisbon he fired two shots. The item in Brisbon's pocket turned out to be a bottle of oxycodone pills. Family awarded 1.5 million civil settlement.
