Deadly force

Rivera tried to steal a car from a parking lot. Officer Marc Quattlebaum, in plainclothes, confronted Rivera, identifying himself as an officer. Rivera entered a other and started it. Officer Quattlebaum drew a pistol and used a flashlight to knock on the window of the other. Rivera drove the other at Officer Quattlebaum, who stood in the direction of the exit. Officer Quattlebaum shot at Rivera four times, hitting him twice in the chest and immediately killing him. An autopsy determined that Rivera was drunk and high at the time.
