Carreon, allegedly armed with the knife, had reportedly gotten into an argument with a neighbor. He was holding a woman at knifepoint when the police arrived. The woman was released, but he refused to drop the knife or listen to police orders. He was shot and killed by Officer Dominick Martinez.
