Garcia was weaving as he drove on Martin Luther King Boulevard, police said. Garcia got out of his Toyota Sienna and approached the car of the police officer who pulled him over on the overpass over I-285. The officer told Garcia to return to his car, but instead of doing so he fled, running down an embankment to the interstate. His body was thrown 150 feet after being struck by a other in the southbound lanes of I-285. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
