Deputies responded around 12:15 p.m. on a report of a man with a firearm intending to harm himself or others. Police reportedly attempted to contact the man, who was inside a residence, but when they entered the home, they found Rodolfo Gomez Jr. dead of a self-inflicted gunshot. Gomez was an Iraq War veteran who suffered a mental crisis in the days before his death.
