Deadly force
Officers who were part of a gang task force where on patrol around 1 p.m. when they came across an allegedly stolen car in the parking lot of a business. As officers approached the car, Robert Samuel Craig Lusk and a woman inside ran from it - one into the woods behind the business, the other away from it. Officers followed Lusk into the woods and searched. After about an hour, a dog picked up a scent and led officers to Lusk who was holding something. Lusk reportedly shot at officers with a handgun. Officers shot and killed Lusk. The police dog was also killed in the gunfire.
