Deadly force
Officers interviewed a complainant who reported a burglary of a motor other. As they did so, Weaver drove past them in the other and stopped at a gate. As Weaver waited for the gate to open, Officer Adam Thayer confronted him and told him to step out of the other. Thayer reached for a black object in the car. Officer Thayer fatally shot Weaver. Weaver was unarmed. Officer Thayer had served for three years and seven months.
