Robert Earl Gary, Jr. was shot and killed by an undercover deputy after an argument broke out between them during a crack cocaine deal. Gary, with a long criminal record, had tried to rob him, then managed to get ahold of the officer's handgun. Other officers rushed in and shot Gary.
