In a press release, police said they responded to a report of an African American man in his 30s, who was armed with a handgun. The officers were called around 3 a.m. Six officers responded and initially contacted a man that was not related to the call. They then found an elderly man in a other behind police units who reportedly got out of the other with a handgun and shot the gun. Robert Coleman refused to drop his revolver and aimed it at police. Several officers shot and killed Coleman.
