Undercover sheriff investigators staged a heroin buy with Rio Antwuan Thomas. As the purchase was made, and undercover police car pulled in behind Thomas to block his escape. Thomas reversed at high speed then went forward, in the general direction of deputies standing in front of his other. Five officers shot and killed Thomas.
